Progress Report and Personal Notes

Dear Readers,

It has been a season crowded with blessings and significant events for me. My vacation travels to Atlanta, GA; Washington DC; Ireland; and London were incredibly busy, heartwarming and treasured experiences.

I finally met my Great Grand Daughter, one of the loves in my life, and celebrated much love and laughter with others. I will happily treasure these experiences for the rest of my days.

At home again, I reviewed comments and suggestions your responses to my survey provided. With all of  those thoughts in mind, I checked in to the Mt. Hermon Christian Writer’s Conference earlier this month.

At Mt. Hermon, five full days of workshops, Keynotes, personal meetings and intensive mentor experiences all challenged me with much new information, confirmation and encouragement. I’m excited, inspired, and a bit overwhelmed. I also have much that I hope to share.

In the coming weeks, I will be writing the final few installments of the ‘book’-blog, and preparing to enter the second half of this writing adventure … otherwise known as Editing and Revision.

My original goal was to have this book complete and ready for submission and/or publication by the end of this year. I have extended that a bit – to March 21 – 30, 2018. The new date gives me about 90 days more to complete the re-organization and fine tuning that I am inspired to do, before presenting the work at next year’s Mt. Hermon Christian Writer’s Conference for final critique before publication.

Your feedback, and the input from writers, publishers, agents, and friends at the conference, have filled me to the brim with ideas and inspiration. Stay tuned for the last few installments – and for my continuing progress reports and observations.

I don’t quite know yet what form the continuing ‘book’-blog will take, once the first drafts of final chapters are written – but I will be doing something. I hope you’ll be sharing it with me. Thank you so much for joining the adventure thus far.

I may be a bit slower in posting than usual as I begin the final laps of this mini-marathon. I’m thinking of it as being in training for the bigger races to come. I am looking forward to sharing much more with you all. Feel free to comment – I’m still collecting feedback and would love to have yours.

Blessings, Love and Laughter,

Marge
